About

Compassion. Experience. Diligence.

History

IPV Educators was born out of a passion for advocating for survivors of interpersonal violence. The more we spoke at public events, the more we realized that there was a hunger and a need for further education for healthcare providers in interpersonal violence and trauma-informed care, and thus, IPV Educators was created.

Sole Proprietor / CEO

Katherine

Katherine has been advocating for survivors of interpersonal violence and for trauma-informed care for many years. She started working in this field as an instructor of women’s self defense and empowerment before becoming a PA and forensic examiner and beginning to help educational institutions provide holistic and well-rounded interpersonal violence curriculum.

Prior to attending PA school, she worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in downtown / South Central Los Angeles, frequently managing interpersonal violence and trauma.

As a PA, she has experience in the emergency room, urgent care, trauma and acute care surgery, and academia.

She also designed and implemented a comprehensive and longitudinal interpersonal violence and trauma curriculum during her PA education experience - the first of its kind for PA programs!

Please see the “News and Announcements” page for a list of public appearances, published articles, etc! See below for additional information on her qualifications!
